CS 4398 - Software Engineering Project

Catalog Description:

Students undertake a software development project. They work in teams, writing the requirements and design documents, and then the teams produce and test the software. The lectures cover techniques of analysis, design, implementation, and testing software.

Course Objectives:

This course expands upon the fundamentals in SWE learned in CS3398. CS4398 provides real-world experiences using Software Engineering principles. Students experience involvement with real users who must be satisfied with project results.

Teaches team-work, participation and responsibilities to meet commitments.

3.

Writing-intensive: students learn to produce a team written report directed to meeting user requirements. Enhanced communication skills in user interaction.
