If you love to write code, then we have an awesome opportunity for you! We are a dynamic team of coders, designers, and engineers creating a leading-edge internet app to rock the world of animation. The platform is Ruby on Rails on a LAMP technology stack - so if you have professional experience with Ruby, Rails, PHP, Perl, Python, or the LAMP architecture and you want to sling some really cool code for the whole world to enjoy, you owe it to yourself to send us a resume.
The ideal Elite Code Warrior will have actually done web application development of some sort using Ruby on Rails, CSS, Javascript, and has a degree in Computer Science (junior or senior level students will also be considered for a paid internship). You don't have to have a ton of experience (we will train you to sling great Ruby on Rails code), but you do need to be smart, a quick study, and enjoy geek humor.
Experience with any of the following will earn you significant kung fu points: Linux, MySQL, Nginx, Mongrel, Smalltalk, Test Driven Development, Object-Oriented Thinking, or Design Patterns.
MyToons is an incredible place to work - we code hard, but we play hard too - and we take time to restore brain cells with computer games, brief spurts of cube warfare, and insane amounts of sugar and caffeine. We have some industry veterans on the team who are great mentors too, so there is no better place for you to advance your career than right here.
We will be there at the job fair this Wednesday (10/10), and we would love to meet any students that are interested in our full-time opening or an internship slot.
