The Department of Computer Science at Texas State University-San Marcos has an Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). The IAB is comprised of forty scientists and upper level executives of industrial organizations with significant interest in computer science. The IAB meets twice a year on the Texas State campus in order to develop strong ties with industry. The objective of the IAB is to advise the department in all educational and professional matters.

The Department of Computer Science has benefited very much from the Industrial Advisory Board which has also significantly strengthened our ties with many organizations beyond the University's boundaries.
