Degree Programs:

The Department of Computer Science offers the BA, BS, MA, MS in Computer Science and MS in Software Engineering degrees as well as a Certificate in Computer Science. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree program is accredited by ABET, Inc. Please see the CS Department Overview page for more details about our degree programs.

Teaching Load

The teaching load varies from six credit hours to twelve credit hours per semester. Individual faculty members work out their exact teaching load with the department chair each semester. Typically, scholarly activities and major committee service count toward the total teaching load.

Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC):

The Department of Computer Science also offers its masters degree programs in the North Austin area under the umbrella of the Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC) along with several other programs. All classes are offered in the evenings so that working professionals can easily take classes after work.
