Submission Guidelines

Definitions

  • Technical Reports are scholarly research documents, such as pre-prints that will be submitted for publication,or software manuals
  • Theses are master’s theses written by Texas State students in the Department of Computer Science.
  • Other documents are scholarly works that do not fit in the above categories

The Approval Process

Finished documents are submitted by CS faculty through the CS department Tech Report webpage. Submitters should have prepared beforehand the title, author(s), and abstract in plain text and the document in pdf format.

The departmental Tech Report committee will review the document for suitability. This is not a peer review of the paper. If the document is approved, an appropriate cover will be pre-pended to the document, the submitting faculty member will be notified, and the document will be sent to the Texas State Library for posting on eCommons.

The Library System

eCommons at Texas State, http://ecommons.txstate.edu/, is an institutional repository, a permanent digital archive of scholarly material produced at Texas State.
