The Houston-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation  Scholars Program is a National Science Foundation funded scholarship program in the College of Science at Texas State.  Structured as a community of scholars, H-LSAMP is designed            to substantially increase the diversity of students graduating with baccalaureate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The H-LSAMP formal program enriches each scholar's university experience through faculty mentoring, scientific research and internships, conferences, peer tutoring, and interdisciplinary learning. These scholars also form the core of the Collaborative Learning Center, supporting fellow students in peer-to-peer collaborative learning.
