Research > Biometrics - Collaboration with Laurence Berkley National Laboratories (Dr. Cecilia Aragon)

Goal: Research new methods that allow a person's identification based on the eye movement and the oculomotor plant metrics.

Motivation: Biometric methods employed today such as fingerprint identification and iris recognition can be technically breached by creating a model of a finger or a retina by using holographic methods. The properties of the eye movements allow to conduct a behavioral evaluation of a person potentially allowing to strengthen the security of the identification.

Project Status: Looking for students interested in the project. The students will participate in the development and the evaluation of the eye gaze based biometric algorithms. Please contact Dr. Komogortsev (ok11@txstate.edu) if interested in participation.
