RESEARCH INTERESTS
My main research interest spans from cross-enterprise system integration,
cooperative information system and heterogeneous databases. The unifying
theme of my research has been to provide transparent global access to
heterogeneous, distributed autonomous information sources. Information
sources could include services/applications on the Web, databases, multimedia systems or legacy applications.
My work on cross enterprise system integration center on
providing business to business infrastructure that reduces the cost and complexity of data and application integration in WWW. The related projects in these areas are:
My secondary research goal is to provide technique and model for accurate and rapid retrieval of multimedia data (MDB).
Information processing has shifted from textual data to include still images,
video and audio data. This requires substantial changes
in the way we build and manage databases.
